Senior Associate - Sloane & Company LLC

Sloane & Company is seeking a public affairs Senior Associate who is politically savvy, intellectually curious and has a developing network in Washington, DC.  The person should be team-oriented and self-directed.  The role is based in New York, but requires frequent travel to Washington, DC. 

We’re looking for someone with a minimum of three years of experience, a track record of leading and growing client business, and a solid understanding of how to communicate with government stakeholders through media relations and other channels.

The qualified candidate will lead challenging, high-stakes and issues-based accounts focused on political communications and advocacy.  We work with trade associations and Fortune 500 companies as they navigate policy issues at all levels; an ability to build consensus among multiple stakeholders with differing points of view is important. 

Any qualified candidate will have strong writing skills, including the ability to turn op-eds and letters to the editor around quickly, as well as a familiarity with content development.  They should also feel comfortable working with high-profile spokespeople including former members of Congress.
