Weber Shandwick is looking for an intellectually curious and dynamic Senior Vice President for our Consumer Technology Practice. This individual will lead a top global consumer technology account across the agency overseeing a multi-office team in several countries.

The SVP will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of communication programs across all facets of public relations including: corporate positioning and narrative development, major earned media programs, new product launches, activations and sponsorships, influencer marketing and building great brand experiences on and off line. S/he will also architect and guide engagements, establishing budget, timeline and quality standards, and build strong trusting relationships with client(s) and colleagues both locally and across the broader Weber Shandwick network.

The ideal candidate has a deep passion for music and entertainment, thinks creatively and differently about consumer engagement and corporate storytelling, and operates with agility, speed, and commitment to achieving clients’ goals.

Qualifications
 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Consumer/consumer technology experience working on small and large brands with many work streams and agency partners.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of PR agency and integrated team management experience or equivalent experience in in-house/client side roles.
  • Bachelor's degree required
Additional Qualifications:
  • Strong client skills, along with proven ability to develop and manage complex projects – with multiple work streams across multiple markets.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and cross-functional team management experience.
  • Experience leading senior client engagements with large inter-agency teams.
  • Hands-on leader who can inspire and manage the team to do award-winning work and able to write and present well to clients.
  • Commitment to work as a collaborative team and lead by example as problem solver, idea generator and writer
  • Music, entertainment or gaming experience a plus.
  • Experience with corporate financial announcements and filings also a plus.
  • Be a steward of culture, curious with the ability to uncover consumer insights that drive programming
  • Ability to work in an integrated environment, especially with creative/advertising teams.
  • Understand budgets, resource allocations and has basic agency financial acumen
