Staff Accountant - Taylor

Taylor is looking for an accomplished Staff Accountant to join our team!

Reporting to the Controller and Client Finance Manager, you’ll assist accounting, tax, financial reporting, and daily accounting functions and processes to help drive the company forward.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the Accounts Payable function of the agency including posting of invoices into the financial system, setting up vendors, handling vendor payment inquiries, obtain vendor W-9s and Vendor Profile information, interacting with agency staff regarding invoices and payment status, printing of payment checks, reconciling credit card charges, and provide A/P reports to staff and management.
  • Provide support to the Finance Team for the Accounts Receivable function of the agency including preparing client invoices, client fee reconciliation, posting payments to the G/L, following up on outstanding receivables, providing various reports to agency staff and management
  • Assist with month-end close including the posting of journal entries and assisting with the preparation of financial statements for management
  • Provide support for semi-monthly payroll which includes posting of journal entries related to payroll and expense reimbursements, assist with the collection of timesheets, and communicate payroll due dates to agency staff
  • Balance sheet account and bank statement reconciliations
  • in preparation of annual budget
  • Assist with annual audits
  • Ad hoc requests from management



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years of accounting or finance-related experience preferably within advertising, public relations or other marketing discipline
  • Knowledge of GAAP and the general functions of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office including Excel (e.g., pivot tables and V-lookups)
  • Familiarity with ADP is a plus
  • Strong communication skills—both verbal and written
  • Capability to be analytical, multi-task, and manage deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and a strong attention to detail
  • Be comfortable interacting and communicating with agency staff and senior management
  • Ability to respond in a timely manner to the needs of internal and external partners
