Our New York office has an immediate opening for an energetic, self-starting Vice President who has a true passion for global healthcare communications. The VP should be prepared to work in an all aspects of healthcare, from promoting consumer-friendly disease awareness campaigns to high-science clinical data and regulatory milestones. 


  • Serving as the day-to-day client contact 
  • Acting as a true strategic partner in building disease awareness and relationships with advocacy groups
  • Providing strategic client counsel that reflects deep knowledge and experience in pharmaceutical product communications and issues management
  • Developing recommendations and programs that demonstrate a broad knowledge of media and advocacy arenas
  • Managing account teams to ensure that client needs are met on time and on budget and to provide growth opportunities for staff
  • Playing an active role in the development of junior-level staff by contributing expertise to training programs, mentoring, etc.
  • Monitoring and manage client budgets and the financial performance of individual client relationships
  • The account is not data-heavy, but necessitates an understanding of data communications


  • A minimum of 8 years of experience within a PR agency working on pharmaceutical (Rx) accounts or experience working within the product communications groups within a pharmaceutical firm
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field
  • A deep understanding of the regulatory issues related to pharmaceutical communications
  • A motivated, independent self-starter with willingness/ability to work in a client-focused, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong writing and organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to contribute to strategic thinking and the development and execution of programs
  • Experience working with diabetes and/or oncology is a plus
  • Strong leadership skills and client counseling capabilities
  • Budget management skills
  • High ethical and quality standards
