Video Producer - Walker Sands Communications

The Walker Sands video producer is responsible for the production of both internal and external videos, overseeing each project from conception to completion.  This person must have a creative mindset and be able to work both independently as well as with a variety of teams.
Video producers can expect to be working on three to four projects at a time and must have a clear understanding of each client’s brand and objective.  In conjunction with the account teams, the video producer will establish video narratives,  organize the production process and ensure that the final product meets the client's needs and is completed in a timely manner. Our expectation is that the videos this person produces will present our clients’ services and products in creative and engaging ways. Prior experience working with B2B companies is a plus.  
Walker Sands also expects that video producers stay up to date with video trends and are continual learners. This person plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of the video content department and should be a forward-thinker.  Both a strategic and creative mindset are critical for ensuring that our video services continue to be an attractive options for clients. 
  • Attending internal meetings and brainstorms with various team members to determine goals and objectives of all video projects.
  • Creating, administering and adhering to a video workplan. 
  • Production of all video components, including some travel for filming purposes.
  • Managing the entire post production process.
  • Working with the content team on project management, utilization and selling video services to clients.
Experience Required
  • 1-3 years of video composition experience.
  • Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects.
  • Working knowledge of a Canon DSLR and Mac software.
  • Storytelling and creative writings skills.
  • Strong eye for videography.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and understand clients’ businesses/brands.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • A background in design is a plus.
