Mighty PR is the latest addition to Samsung's PR roster, with the agency taking on its US Media Solutions Center work.

It's understood that Mighty's role involves media relations, especially around product launches, developer outreach and social media -- and the firm was brought on under the direction of Laurie Spindler-Jones, Samsung's recently-appointed US PR lead for its Media Solutions Center. Prior to Mighty's appointment in August, Samsung worked with MWW on this business.

Representatives at Samsung and Mighty PR declined comment for this story.

The Media Solutions Center, which launched in the US in 2011, handles content and services for Samsung’s mobile devices and Smart TVs, like WatchON. Just last week, the group hosted its first developer's conference in San Francisco.

This is one of many PR agencies changes Samsung has made this year. Last month, it retained Edelman for its multimillion global corporate PR business. Earlier this year, FleishmanHillard took on its North American consumer work and duties to oversee its global mobile business. Samsung also works with PMK*BNC and continues its relationship with MWW on its US mobile business.

Mighty PR, led by Spark PR alumni Rebecca Fuller, Candace Locklear and June Parina, launched two years ago and earlier this year started work with note-taking app Evernote.
