MIAMI—The Independent Public Relations Firm Forum—a half-day conference designed for public relations firm principals—will take place on the first day of this year’s Global Public Relations Summit in Miami, and will bring together speakers from PR agencies around the world to discuss some of the most critical issues for agency growth and competitiveness.

The event, which will be sponsored once again by thenetworkone and Davis & Gilbert, will feature panels focused on:
• Generating Insight: From Big Data to Cultural Anthropology
• Creativity, storytelling and content
• Recruiting and integrated new talent
• Succession planning

According to Paul Holmes, editor of The Holmes Report, who will lead the insight panel, “The first three sessions will focus on the biggest competitive challenge facing our industry today: the ability to adapt to a new competitive landscape. That challenge requires a new focus on data-driven insight; on using that insight to drive new levels of creativity across a host of new media; and the ability to attract new kinds of talent.

“The final session will pick up from last year’s incredibly popular session on buying and selling PR firms, and will be led once again by law firm Davis & Gilbert, drawing on original research among global industry leaders.”

Confirmed speakers and panelists include:
Margi Booth, chairman, M Booth
Lynn Casey, CEO, Padilla CRT
David Herrick, COO, MWW
Chris Lewis, founder and CEO, Lewis PR
Michael Murphy, senior partner, Michael Murphy & Ltd
Harjiv Singh, co-founder and co-CEO, Gutenberg Communications
Rich Timmons, president and chief strategy officer, 3rd Coast PR

Additional speakers will be announced over the next weeks.
