NEW YORK—The Glover Park Group has hired Sanuber Bilguvar Grohé and Elie Jacobs as vice presidents in the strategic communications practice of its New York office. Grohé joins GPG from Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, where she was a global public relations manager. Prior to Deloitte, Grohé was a vice president at MWW’s corporate practice. Jacobs most recently was a vice president at Sloane & Company, where he worked with several coalitions on public affairs issues.

NEW YORK—Emanate has added Marissa Mastellone as vice president on the agency’s KFC account, and Ryan Barr as a vice president on Bank of America’s consumer bank business. Mastellone joins Emanate after several years at DKC Public Relations & Integrated Marketing, where she worked on a broad range of consumer, lifestyle and corporate accounts. Barr joins from The IGB Group, where he served as managing director.

NEW ORLEANS—Dentsu America has named Jeff Hinson as local account lead for the New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation. Hinson joins from Emeril’s Homebase where he served as national public relations manager, managing corporate communications and public relations for New Orleans-based Emeril Lagasse and supporting the company’s marketing, culinary and operations. Prior to joining Lagasse’s Homebase in 2007, Hinson worked with Sirius Satellite Radio and the National Football League in online marketing, information technology and media relations.

CAMBRIDGE, MA—Life sciences communications specialist LaVoie Strategic Communications Group has appointed David Connolly as vice president. Connolly will focus on digital content and communications, public relations and media relations for the agency's life science accounts. Prior to joining LaVoie, he held positions leading both internal and external communications for Boston-area hospitals, most recently as director of communications and marketing for St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, a Steward Healthcare hospital.

CHICAGO—Culinary PR specialist Henson Consulting has added Amanda Urban as account manager. She joins the HC team after a five-year stint as media director for celebrity chef Grant Achatz. Urban will lead the Giordano’s business, support the agency’s Lettuce Entertain You team and contribute to HC’s corporate food clients.
