WASHINGTON, DC—Jennifer Wayman, executive vice president and group director, social marketing, at Ogilvy Public Relations, has been promoted to managing director, US social marketing. She will work with Robert Mathias, Ogilvy PR's North American CEO, to grow the agency's social marketing expertise across the agency's US offices and apply best practices of behavior change to new and existing clients. Wayman started her career as an intern with Ogilvy PR in 1990 and since 2003 has been serving as the leader of the social marketing group in the agency's Washington, DC office, overseeing a team of 60.

MIAMI—Theresa "Teri" Rice (pictured) has been appointed managing director at JeffreyGroup Miami, where she will lead the agency’s Latin American pan-regional team. Rice is joining the agency from IGC, where she had been managing director since 2012.  Prior to that she had worked at Burson-Marsteller Latin America for nearly 10 years, most recently as managing director and regional practice chair, and before that was managing Supervisor first in Mexico City and then in Miami for Fleishman-Hillard.

TORONTO—FleishmanHillard has promoted Angela Carmichael to senior vice president, partner and general manager of its Toronto office. Carmichael joined FleishmanHillard five years ago and has since taken on the creation of a new corporate practice, with significant clients in the public and private sector. She previously held sales and public relations positions at IBM and worked with GCI Group and Hill & Knowlton.

CHICAGO—Digital, social media and word-of-mouth marketing agency Zócalo Group has added Stephen Strong as executive vice president and executive director. Reporting to Zócalo president and CEO Paul Rand, Strong will oversee the digital, creative and research and analytics groups. Previous positions include interactive director at Unilever, global director of interactive marketing at Alberto Culver, and SVP and director of interactive at DraftFCB.

LOS ANGELES—GolinHarris has hired Glenn Gaslin to lead the agency’s Bridge command centers in its Western region offices. The Bridge is a holistic engagement network that gives clients a front-row seat to conversations, broadcast and news headlines tied to their industries. Prior to joining GolinHarris, he was the special projects content director for NBCUniversal's entertainment behemoth E! Online, where he ran the digital arm of Live from the Red Carpet, produced live stream events, launched the first social team, created branded content and edited gossip columns.

TORONTO—National Public Relations has promoted Jennifer Lee to manager, financial communications, and Josh Norton to manager, marketing communications. Lee joined the firm in 2011 and worked with clients in the resource, financial, infrastructure and technology sectors. Since joining the firm in 2012, Norton has cemented close relationships with many of the country’s top-tier lifestyle and consumer editors.

NEW YORK—King + Company has added Lindsay Kaplan as the company’s newest vice president in the consumer and lifestyle practice. Prior to joining KCo, Kaplan served as marketing director at CityMaps, where she was responsible for driving PR and marketing initiatives and managing business development  for the city navigation and discovery app. Previously, Kaplan worked in social media, partnerships and digital publicity at Chloe + Isabel, DuJour Media, Publicis Modem, Time Out New York, Elle and Oxford University Press.

LOS ANGELES—Stanton & Company has hired Jody Sowa as public relations director. Sowa—who joins from New York PR agency M&C Saatchi PR—will lead all brand PR initiatives for Stanton, overseeing strategic planning and targeted press outreach on behalf of the agency’s key clients and business development with a focus on sports, entertainment, lifestyle and fitness. At the same time, PR manager Leah-Vail Soloff has been promoted to PR supervisor.
