SÃO PAULO — Brunswick Group has appointed Tereza Kaneta head of its São Paulo office. Kaneta joined Brunswick in 2012 to open the São Paulo office and has extensive experience in capital markets and investor relations. Before joining Brunswick, she was the head of MZ Consult Latin America advising newly-listed companies on investor relations.
ATLANTA — Weber Shandwick has named Melissa Golden executive VP and general manager of its Atlanta office. Most recently, Golden spent more than six years at Ketchum, where she led integrated communications work for some of its largest clients and launched the firm’s purpose practice. Prior to Ketchum, she led communications and marketing efforts for nonprofit organizations such as Teach For America and Points of Light / HandsOn Network.
WASHINGTON — Thomas Gensemer, the former chief strategy officer at Burson-Marsteller, has joined BlueLabs Analytics as its CEO. Gensemer served as managing partner of Blue State Digital from 2005 until 2013, leading the firm’s period of rapid growth and global expansion and, ultimately, managing its acquisition by WPP in 2011. In his most recent role at B-M, he led the development of integrated creative, analytics and production services, as well as several large US client relationships.
LOS ANGELES — Acceleration Community has hired two key executives — Monica Chun and Rick Faigin. Chun (pictured) will serve as the company’s chief client officer and president of Acceleration Brand Advisory, while Rick Faigin joins as executive VP of Acceleration Brand Advisory. Chun and Faigin both join from the firm of PMK*BNC.
BOSTON —Amy Sullivan has joined FRESH Communications as chief marketing officer. Sullivan has more than 20 years of experience in food marketing, business strategy, media and production. In her new role, Sullivan will lead FRESH Communications’ rapid growth in building healthy lifestyle brands through creative public relations, niche nutrition marketing and strategic communications.
WASHINGTON — Communications researcher Jason Booms has joined The Hannon Group as director, strategic research and communications. Booms joins after helming his own opinion research and communications consultancy for more than a decade.
