NEW YORK—Ogilvy Public Relations has hired Karen Paff as senior vice president on the Ogilvy Media Influence team, reporting to Jennifer Risi, managing director and Head of Ogilvy Media Influence. Most recently, Paff served as senior managing director and chief media strategist co-leading RF Binder's media team. Earlier, she spent two decades working in broadcast news covering political campaigns and also Pope Benedict XVI's visit to the United States. Ogilvy has also promoted Tara Mullins to senior vice president, Ogilvy Media Influence.
NEW YORK—MWWPR has hired Michelle Gordon as senior vice president, research and insights. She will oversee thought leadership, audience and category trend analysis, insights and agency-wide measurement. Gordon joins MWWPR from Horizon Media, where she was vice president, director of consumer insights. Prior to Horizon, she led insights and strategy at Catalyst and served as consumer insights director at MediaCom.
LOS ANGELES—Rally, a communications firm specializing in issue advocacy, has hired Howli Ledbetter as a director in its San Francisco office. Ledbetter will contribute to projects including partnerships with the Emerson Collective and various Bay Area philanthropists. She is a six-year veteran of the Obama White House and the 2008 presidential campaign, and most recently served as the director of message planning in the office of communications.
LOS ANGELES—Vectis Strategies, a national public relations and public affairs firm, has named Cale Ottens as an associate partner in its Los Angeles office. Ottens, who will play a key role in the firm's media relations and public relations practice, is a former journalist having worked in the Los Angeles, Arizona, Texas and Washington, DC markets, most recently as commercial real estate reporter at the Los Angeles Business Journal.
NEW YORK—The Pollack PR Marketing Group, a Los Angeles-based public relations firm, has hired Jeff Monford to lead its New York office as managing director. Monford most recently was a leader of communications at the Milken Institute, an economics think tank. Previously, he had senior roles in agencies including Face West Communications, Burson-Marsteller, and MSLGroup.
