NEW YORK—Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide has added Ann Hemingway as senior vice president to the New York healthcare team and Bob Blount as senior vice president to its 360-Degree Digital Influence group, with a focus on healthcare. Prior to joining Ogilvy, Hemingway was executive vice president and director of account management excellence at Euro RSCG Worldwide PR. She also worked at Edelman, Manning Selvage & Lee and TSI Communications. Formally director, social analytics and insights at WCG, Blount also spent 14 years with Dell, across various brand and corporate communications roles.

TORONTO—Catherine Cano has been named managing partner of the Toronto office of National Public Relations, having most recently served as director of program development at CBC News. Cano has previously been news director of SRC (Radio-Canada) News, head of all news channel RDI (Réseau de l’information), and assistant news director at Al Jazeera English (AJE). As managing partner at National, Cano will oversee strategic and operational initiatives, including business development and strategic recruitment. She succeeds John Crean, who will now focus exclusively on his role as national managing partner of the firm.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA—Fleishman-Hillard International Communications has opened an office in Orange County. Geoff Mordock, senior vice president previously in the firm’s Los Angeles office, is now based in Irvine to assist day-to-day management and to provide senior strategic counsel to local clients. Before joining Republic Services, Garza was a member of the executive team at the Port of Long Beach (the nation's second largest container port) and at the Long Beach Water Department (a national leader in water conservation and environmental stewardship).
