WASHINGTON, DC—The Glover Park Group has added Jocelyn Moore to its government relations practice as a managing director. Moore will provide political and legislative counsel on a broad range of issues and manage the firm’s health and wellness government relations practice. She joins GPG with 15 years of experience in the United States Senate, most recently serving as the deputy staff director of the senate finance committee. Prior to that, Moore served as Senator Ron Wyden’s deputy chief of staff and policy director and as legislative director for Senator John D. Rockefeller IV.

NEW YORK—Zeno Group has named John Kerr as its first chief digital officer. The role will be an addition to his continued leadership of the firm’s Asia-Pacific network. Kerr continues to report to Zeno CEO Barby Siegel. In this newly created role, he will lead Zeno’s efforts to globalize its digital strategy and offerings, by expanding its current capabilities, and increasing the depth and breadth of client engagements.

Caplin will be based in GSG’s New York office and will be responsible for strategic communications and public affairs, focused on media relations campaigns for the NY, DC and national media markets. Caplin most recently served as senior communications director to US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) managing communications, leading social media strategy, and acting as on-the-record spokesman

DENVER—Grayling has hired Roy Palmer as senior advisor to the state and federal government affairs practice. He comes to Grayling with more than 30 years of high-level government and public affairs experience, having recently served as senior vice president and executive officer for Xcel Energy, a Fortune 500 gas and electric utility. Earlier, he was chief of staff to Colorado Governor Bill Owens and before than to Wayne Allard, a member of the US House and the US Senate.

KNOXVILLE, TN—Ackermann PR has hired Tommy Smith as vice president of marketing strategy. Smith has experience in corporate strategy, advertising and brand management, and joins from ORNL Federal Credit Union where he served as chief marketing officer, responsible for marketing strategy, corporate brand, new product development, advertising, consumer insights, and corporate strategy. Prior to ORNL FCU, he was responsible for marketing, brand management, and business development at Dell in Dublin, Ireland and Austin, Texas.

BALTIMORE—Imre has hired Damian Rintelmann as senior vice president and digital lead. Rintelman comes to Imre from Delucchi Plus, and previously worked in Weber Shandwick’s digital practice. In addition, Jason Burelle has been named associate creative director in the firm’s recently-opened New York office, having previously worked with McCann HumanCare and Rokkan, a subsidiary of Publicis.
