HONG KONG — AIA has handed regional social media duties to Golin Hong Kong, as the Asian insurance giant looks to step up digital content efforts for its corporate brand.

Golin takes on the assignment following a competitive review. The firm support AIA's content creation and management for a number of its social platforms, including LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram.

"As we work to bring to life our purpose-led brand promise we need a strong partner to help us cut through the noise and speak directly to our audience on the social channels they are using in a way that encourages community growth and engagement," said AIA head of external communications Mark Walters. "Golin has a fantastic understanding of the digital landscape in Asia and the team impressed us with their fresh approach and creative."

In particular, Golin's remit will aim to support AIA’s new brand promise — 'Healthier, Longer, Better Lives' — during its centenary year. Golin’s digital and creative studio will create original content as well as leveraging AIA’s existing partnerships, which include Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, along with music, carnival and fitness activities.

"AIA has been around for 100 years this year, and is a loved and respected brand. It’s a business that believes in listening to its customers and making a difference," said Golin Hong Kong MD Jane Morgan. "We’re honored to have been chosen as the social media partner to support the corporate brand and its new position, which is incredibly relevant in this era of health and wellness."
