SINGAPORE — Travel tech company Amadeus has selected WE Communications to handle Asia-Pacific PR duties following a competitive review.

WE prevailed following a pitch that featured three others agencies, and beings work on a three-year assignment designed to support Amadeus’ goal of expanding and strengthening its presence in Asia. The company previously worked with Edelman.

The brief will include technology, consumer and digital engagement, according to WE Southeast Asia SVP Carolyn Camoens.

Amadeus is best known for providing technology solutions to travel providers such as airlines and hotels, along with travel agencies and corporate buyers. The company employs around 13,000 people worldwide, across central sites in Madrid, Nice and Erding.

Karun Budhraja, vice president, corporate marketing & communications at Amadeus Asia Pacific, noted that WE secured the business after mapping out an insights and impact-driven approach.

“With WE’s extensive network in the region, this partnership only reaffirms Amadeus’ commitment to the travel industry in Asia Pacific,” said Budhraja.

Amadeus' global PR is led by Kwittken, while Grupo Albion handles the remit in its home market of Spain.
