LONDON--Hill & Knowlton has promoted Amanda Groty to global strategy director, the latest move in its ongoing global leadership reshuffle.

Groty reports to chairman and CEO Jack Martin, who assumed overall leadership of the WPP agency earlier this year, following the departures of global CEO Paul Taaffe and US chief MaryLee Sachs.

Groty will focus on the firm’s new business offering and on growing its key client relationships, while also helping to determine its global growth strategy.

Groty previously headed H&K’s EMEA technology practice. She will continue to oversee its LG One partnership with Ogilvy PR in Europe.

Groty’s promotion follows the hire of Ken Luce as global COO in January. “Amanda’s global experience is key as we work to maximise our capability and strengths across the business,” said Luce. “As a key member of the global leadership team, Amanda will help define our focus at a critical period in our development.”

Groty joined H&K in 2002, serving as EMEA client services director before taking on technology leadership duties.
