MIAMI —Industry veteran Amy Federman, who most recently spent nearly eight years at Bacardi, has joined trucking company Ryder as its VP of corporate communications.

In her new role, Federman oversees internal and external communications for the transportation giant, best known for commercial fleet management, as well as for the Ryder Charitable Foundation. Responsibilities include working with executives on crafting and executing initiatives to drive growth and engage stakeholders.

Federman brings nearly 30 years of experience to the role, most recently serving as Bacardi’s director of corporate communications. Before moving in-house, Federman spent 14 years as a Burson-Marsteller managing director.

Since 2007, she has also served as a governing board member of Make-A-Wish’s Southern Florida chapter.
