LONDON—Analytics firm Commetric has appointed Dietmar Walter as CEO to build on the firm's 40% growth in 2013.

Walter joins after previously serving as international VP for online market research and analytics company Global Market Insite, which was acquired by WPP Group.

He replaces Chris Shaw, who remains on the board as a director. The board also includes two new additions — chairman/co-founder Christofer Solheim and co-founder Tony Burgess-Webb.

Founded in 2005, Commetric works with global brands such as Coca-Cola, Samsung and Verizon, providing customised media and social media analytics.

“We’re already growing rapidly and Dietmar has exactly the right experience and drive to accelerate the global expansion of our business and take our advanced analytics offerings into new markets,” said Solheim.
