MILAN — APCO Worldwide has expanded its operations in Italy by opening an office in Milan, its second base in the country alongside Rome.

CEO Brad Staples said Milan had been chosen as it was Italy’s economic capital and “represents one of the most important cities in Europe for leading companies, both Italian and global.”

A team of consultants based in Milan will work with colleagues in Rome across clients in sectors including technology, health care, luxury, transportation and logistics and foreign investment. They will offer services including corporate and product communications, social media and creative services, crisis communication and public affairs.

The new office will come under the charge of APCO’s managing director for Italy, Paolo Compostella (pictured), who noted that the agency had been present in the country for nearly 20 years.

“Our work in Italy stands at the nexus of communications and public affairs and opening our office in Milan is a natural consequence of that work. Milan is a modern, international and multi-cultural city and the diverse background of our growing team reflects its global nature,” he said.
