WASHINGTON, DC—APCO Worldwide has named Marilyn Fancher as its first chief creative officer. Fancher has been with APCO for nearly 20 years, leading the development of StudioAPCO and helping to grow the firm's global creative capabilities.
Fancher has experience in creative campaign design, advertising and interactive media to her new role. "Being able to creatively engage with stakeholders through compelling stories combined with a robust dialogue is essential to being successful," says APCO chief executive Margery Kraus.
Before joining APCO, Fancher spent four years as the director of broadcast services for the Republican National Committee, overseeing the organization's television and radio production studios and staff. In that role, she directed and produced campaign advertising, live television news programming and media production on behalf of candidates and elected officials including two presidents and several governors, members of Congress, cabinet secretaries and business leaders.
