SAN FRANCISCO—  APCO’s Mischa Dunton has joined Cohn & Wolfe as managing director of its San Francisco office.

Dunton takes over the post formerly held by Anna Leonard from October 2011 to 2012. Since then, Leonard became president of the Antenna Group in February 2013. 

In her new role at Cohn &Wolfe, Dunton will oversee the day-to-day operations, employee development, client relations, and business development. She will also serve as senior client counselor for the firm’s West Coast clients, including three in the agency's top twenty. She reports to North America president  Jim Joseph North America.

She joins from APCO, where she was deputy managing director and SVP.  At APCO, Dunton was a founding member of the agency’s San Francisco office, responsible for a range of clients including Red Bull, Gap Inc., PayPal and Sheryl Sandberg’s Lean In organization. 

Cohn & Wolfe San Francisco is the hub for the agency’s North American technology practice.
