BUENOS AIRES—Urban Grupo de Comunicación, one of the leading public relations firms in Latin America, has acquired the corporate reputation and crisis management consultancy Mora y Araujo.

The acquisition will see Urban take over the consultancy's client portfolio, along with the services provided. Former Mora y Araujo associate Paula Fernández, will become an associate director at Urban, while Manuel Mora y Araujo will continue to work as a political consultant. 

Urban founders Verónica Cheja, Silvia Maggiani and Gabriela Korovsky (pictured) also announced the opening of new business units focused on content creation, digital, public affairs, and the launch of Viento Sur-Urban in Asunción, Paraguay, joining existing operations in Chile and Colombia.

Urban now has a team of 75 professionals serving clients including Coca-Cola Argentina, Unilever, Mondelez, Nokia, American Express, Facebook, Goodyear, Nestlé, Mars, and more.
