SINGAPORE—Lewis PR has been appointed as PR agency of record for BBC Worldwide’s channels business and BBC Global News in Singapore. The remit is to promote programming content across all channels. Lewis will run an integrated communications campaign including media relations, digital marketing, events and press bureau. The selection follows a competitive pitch among several leading agencies in Singapore.

HONG KONG—Hill+Knowlton Strategies has promoted four senior executives in its Hong Kong and India operations. Rachel Chan has been promoted to managing director of the Hong Kong office after previously serving as general manager of the financial communications practice for Greater China. KW Lam has been promoted from general manager of the Hong Kong financial practice to deputy managing director of Hong Kong. Radhika Shapoorjee has been promoted to president, South Asia, after serving as president of H+K IPAN in India since 2008. Sara Gourlay has been promoted to COO of H+K Strategies India.

HONG KONG—GolinHarris has appointed Marc Sparrow (pictured) as executive director of technology in Hong Kong. Formerly leading corporate, business-to-business and consumer-technology teams out of the GolinHarris London office, Sparrow comes to Hong Kong with more than 10 years’ experience working with clients including Oracle, Microsoft, Vodafone Global Enterprise, Capgemini and CA. Prior to joining GolinHarris, Sparrow was head of IT and services for Hotwire, a UK-based technology agency.

MELBOURNE—Mattel, one of the world’s largest toy companies, has appointed Ogilvy Public Relations to work on an integrated marketing communications campaign for one of its Scrabble brand, across ambient, social and traditional media. According to Damian Black, Mattel senior brand manager: “We were looking for an idea and an agency that could shake up perceptions and create new relevance for us, not simply produce traditional product based PR solutions.”

BEIJING—Ogilvy Public Relations has promoted seven executives across its Beijing and Shanghai offices. Ella Chan has been named Ogilvy PR’s chief operating officer, Shanghai, and managing director, brand marketing practice, China. CP Yang is chief operating officer, Beijing; Colleen Cheng is co-managing director, Beijing, and managing director, corporate marketing practice, China; Selina Teng is co-managing director, Beijing and managing director, technology practice, China; Stephen Turner is managing director of the corporate/B-to-B practice, China and brand team leader for Caterpillar; Michael Chu is chief strategy officer, China; and Zhu Hao is executive creative director, China.

SYDNEY—Consumer PR agency Zing has added three new clients to its portfolio. Appointed to launch the McAfee and Life Education partnership earlier this year, Zing’s work has now extended into the McAfee consumer business. Zing has also been appointed to lead the Nestle Nescafé account to deliver a consumer-driven campaign to support its global 75th anniversary. And the firm will support beauty brand Racinne as it gears up for its Australian launch.
