SINGAPORE — WE Communications has added three sector leads to its Singapore leadership team: Alicia Eu, head of corporate, who has spent the last three years at WE; Sophia Hsu, head of technology, who held the same role at WE Red Bridge in Shanghai; and Sahana Prabhakar (pictured), head of healthcare, who joins from Edelman Malaysia. These appointments further position the agency to drive growth and expansion in the market.

BEIJING — Weber Shandwick has bolstered its senior leadership team in China with the promotions of Corbin Hsieh to chief growth officer, Rocky Wang to executive VP and head of South China, and Paxton Cheng to head of operations. Hsieh’s newly created role will see him accountable for China’s overall business performance as well as the firm’s business development group. Wang, who has been responsible for growing the firm's South China business from the ground up, will oversee the Greater Bay Area in the south of the country, with a specific focus on Guangzhou and Shenzhen, while also maintaining oversight of constellation teams in Beijing. Cheng’s remit includes implementing a strategic vision that will focus on efficiency and profitability, including project management, financial success, resourcing and talent development.

SYDNEY — The Australian Beverages Council has appointed Sefiani as its public affairs agency to help drive awareness and understanding of the industry’s efforts to promote healthier lifestyles and consumer choice. The first progress report on the sugar reduction pledge, marks a major milestone for Australia’s largest beverage companies and the 7% reduction in sugar in the years 2015-2018 means the industry is already more than one third of the way towards reducing sugar by 20% by 2025.

NEW DELHI — Kaizzen has appointed Rahul Mehta as COO of its India operations.  Mehta will focus on driving business growth across practice areas, providing strategic senior counsel, consolidating existing client relationships and driving service expansion initiatives. Prior to joining Kaizzen, Mehta has served in senior business leadership roles for more than a decade including his most recent position as senior VP & general manager of FleishmanHillard in New Delhi.
