NEW DELHI—Genesis Burson-Marsteller has appointed Judith Ostronic (pictured) as chief marketing officer. Ostronic will be based in Gurgaon, India, and will report to Prema Sagar, founder and principal. Ostronic comes to Genesis Burson-Marsteller from Direct Impact, a grassroots communications firm that is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Burson-Marsteller. She will work closely with Genesis Burson-Marsteller’s Asia affiliates to develop new business strategies.

BEIJING—Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide/China has promoted Justin Knapp to director of its China outbound practice. In his new role, Knapp will serve as the key point person for the China outbound practice in China. He will work closely with Lyndon Cao, director of Ogilvy & Mather’s China Practice in New York City, to support Chinese companies in government relations, financial communication planning and strategy, internal communication, branding and crisis management.

HONG KONG—Edelman has appointed Arun Mahtani as head of content for the Asia Pacific region. He will work with senior leadership across the region to help formulate storytelling strategies and drive the production of videos, infographics, web sites, and other multimedia content. Mahtani joins Edelman from Thomson Reuters, where he was global head of production for Reuters Insider, the multimedia platform. Prior to that he was head of Bloomberg's UK television channel.

SINGAPORE—Olswang, a leading business law firm headquartered in the UK, has appointed Lewis PR as its public relations agency of record in Singapore. Lewis will handle the launch of Olswang’s first Asia-based office and is tasked with driving media relations for Olswang with the aim of strengthening the company’s position as a thought leader in the telecommunications, media and technology law space.
