SINGAPORE—GlobalHealthPR, a network of independent health and science communications agencies, has opened its new Asia-Pacific headquarters, located in Singapore. The new office is opening under the direction of James Yi, the newly appointed executive director, APAC, and follows the recent addition of Madison Communications as GlobalHealthPR’s exclusive partner in Hong Kong. Yi has spent 12 years in the region and has experience with Fleishman-Hillard in Singapore as well as launching his own firm focusing on the health sector.

NEW DELHI—Walmart India, wholly owned subsidiary of Walmart Stores, has appointed Fortuna Public Relations as its communications advisor.

SINGAPORE—Michelle Tham, managing director of the Singapore office of Hill+Knowlton Strategies, will take on a dual managing director role, adding Malaysia to her Singapore duties. Tham will continue to report directly to John Morgan, president and CEO, Asia, and will continue to be based out of Singapore, splitting her time between both offices.

HONG KONG—WE Communications has appointed Sophia Hsu as regional technology account director, Shanghai, and Damian Pang as senior digital strategist, Hong Kong. Hsu joins WE from Golin, bringing 12 years' experience in public relations and marketing communications in Taiwan and China serving multinational clients. Pang has worked at both Social@Ogilvy in Hong Kong, and Cubaka in London across automotive, corporate, luxury, travel and hospitality and technology clients.

SINGAPORE—Publicis Singapore has appointed Sharim Gubbels as creative director of social. Gubbels joins from We Are Social and brings experience working with Singaporean brands such as Singapore Airlines and global accounts like Lenovo.

SHANGHAI—RFI Studios China, the digital arm of Ruder Finn Asia, has been selected as the digital agency of record for the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia sports car racing series. RFI WILL lead Porsche Carrera Cup Asia's digital campaigns and social media promotions across the region, in addition to designing and maintaining the event's entire web presence.
