SYDNEY—Bacardi-Martini Australia has appointed Ogilvy PR Australia as its public relations agency of record to work across a number of its brands. The appointment follows Ogilvy PR’s successful role as part of an integrated agency team to deliver Grey Goose’s Boulangerie Bleue event in November. The agency’s remit has now been extended to include ongoing earned media and influencer programs for Grey Goose,Bombay Sapphire, St-Germain, 42 Below and Dewar’s.  

JAKARTA—Burson-Marsteller has named Reza Setiawan as director, brand communications, and Muhamad Heikal as associate director, public affairs. Setiawan joined Burson-Marsteller from Asiana Group where he was marketing communications director. Before that, he led brand and project management at Edelman Indonesia, Pulse Communications, Accor Hospitality and Citibank. Heikal returns to the firm from Asia Group Advisors where he led multiple accounts in the public affairs sector.

HONG KONG—Marriott International has named Alethea Lamhas as vice president, communications, for Asia Pacific. Based in Hong Kong will manage internal and external communications, including corporate reputation and crisis management. Prior to this appointment, Lamhas was director of corporate communications for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.

MERMAID BEACH, QLD—Gold Coast PR firm Pineapple PR has merged with PR and brand experience agency The Red Republic, a McCann Worldgroup agency with offices in Sydney and Brisbane. Pineapple will now operate as The Pineapple Republic.

HONG KONG—The Peninsula Hotels has appointed Carson Glover as its new director of global communications reporting to the vice president of marketing. Carson joins from Tiffany & Co., where he worked at the company headquarters in New York, most recently as senior group director, global public relations and communications.
