SYDNEY—Justin Clark, a former managing director with FTI Consulting Australia, has been appointed a director of Sefiani, while Todd Loydell, former head of external, government and regulatory affairs at SBS, has been appointed government relations lead based in Canberra. The firm has also added to its senior advisory panel with Jane Keeley, formerly director of communications at the NSW Ministry of Health, and Michael Swanson, who has a 25-year career in senior roles across Asia-Pacific with global pharmaceutical companies.
YOKOHAMA— Allyson Witherspoon, currently director of marketing communications and media for the Infiniti brand, has been named general manager, global brand engagement, for Nissan Motor Company. She will be based in Yokohama, Japan.
SYDNEY—Text100’s new consumer marketing communications division HyperText has been appointed by two brands. TEDxSydney, one of the world’s largest TEDx events, has appointed HyperText to deliver PR, social media strategy and influencer marketing support to help drive ticket sales for its yearly calendar of events. Not for profit immunisation advocacy group The Immunisation Coalition has engaged the agency to promote its push to educate Australians about the importance of vaccinations through an integrated PR, experiential and social campaign.
HONG KONG—New York-based consulting firm CLP Strategies has appointed Stephan Engel as a consulting partner. Engel will be based in Hong Kong and hold responsibility for the Greater China region. He previously worked for Microsoft Asia as a regional communications manager and most recently developed a crisis communications infrastructure for Mubadala and TAQA, and was a retained consultant at InvestHK.
SHANGHAI—ALDI, a leading global retailer, has appointed Ogilvy & Mather Shanghai as its agency of record to manage its market entry into China. SINGAPORE—Publicis Communications has appointed Fabienne Balleux as general manager, Singapore, of Luminous Experiential MSLGroup. Balleux will be responsible for driving growth and expanding its presence in Singapore. She will work closely with the other agencies under Publicis Communications to provide more integrated and innovative offerings to clients. She previously worked for Oconnection in France.
