SHANGHAI—Burson-Marsteller China has been named as the digital partner in mainland China for Asia Miles, a leading travel and lifestyle rewards programme. The account will be led from Burson-Marsteller’s Shanghai office. The firm will work with Asia Miles to provide social media and digital management in mainland China, including Weibo and WeChat. The firm will be responsible for creative planning, content development, as well as platform management.

SINGAPORE—Edelman has hired Juliette van der Burgt (pictured) as director and head of its Singapore consumer marketing business. Van der Burgt brings 12 years of advertising, strategic planning, digital marketing and corporate brand expertise. Prior to joining Edelman, she was global business director for Qatar Airways at Grey Group in Singapore, and earlier worked at TBWA\Chiat\Day in Los Angeles creating a global strategy for Mars.

HONG KONG—WE has been appointed by Hong Kong music and arts festival Clockenflap, a brand under Magnetic Asia, for the upcoming event from November 27
th until the 29th in the territory’s West Kowloon Cultural District. WE will be responsible for driving Clockenflap’s communications program across Hong Kong in the lead-up to the November event.
