MIAMI—David Meerman Scott, online marketing expert and author of international bestseller The New Rules of Marketing & PR and titles focusing on newsjacking and real-time marketing, will be among the speakers at the third Global Public Relations Summit, which takes place once again at the St Regis Bal Harbour in Miami, from October 27-30.
Scott describes himself as “a recovering VP of marketing for two publicly traded technology companies” and was also Asia marketing director for Knight-Ridder, at the time one of the world's largest newspaper and electronic information companies. He has lived and worked in New York, Tokyo, Boston, and Hong Kong.
He has spoken at conferences and meetings for Cisco, HP, PwC, SAP, Google, Microsoft, Nestle Purina, Ford Motor Company, the Direct Marketing Association, the NASDAQ Stock Market, the US Air Force, and the US Marine Corps, among others.
At the Global Summit, he will speak on real-time marketing and newsjacking, and will be interviewed by Lewis PR chief strategy officer Lucy Allen.
