NEW YORK—Proof Integrated Communications, the integrated marketing and advertising agency unit of Burson-Marsteller, has appointed Michael Bassik as chief executive officer. Interim CEO Tony Telloni moves to a new role as managing director of brand integration and innovation in Burson-Marsteller’s consumer and brand marketing practice.

Bassik, who joined Burson-Marsteller in April 2011, will assume leadership of Proof while continuing to lead the US digital practice for Burson-Marsteller. He will report to Burson-Marsteller US president and CEO Dave DenHerder.

Telloni, who joined Burson-Marsteller in 2006, will also continue in his role as New York market leader, where he is responsible for management and oversight of the New York office.

Before joining Burson-Marsteller, Bassik was senior vice president at Global Strategy Group, where he established and managed a full-service digital public affairs division, managing online marketing, reputation management and media relations programs for some of the firm’s largest clients.
