CAMBRIDGE, July 31—Weber Shandwick has hired Alison Taunton-Rigby as a senior consultant in the firm’s biotechnology practice group.
Taunton-Rigby serves on the boards of the Mass Biotech Council and the Biotechnology Industry Organization and is currently president and chief executive officer of Forester Biotech, an organization that helps build entrepreneurial healthcare and biotechnology companies.

Weber Shandwick’s biotechnology practice group, based in New England, is an expansion of the firm’s global healthcare practice, and addresses the growing need for broader strategic communications support within the burgeoning biotechnology industry.
