LONDON — Blurred, the consultancy set up by Nik Govier, Katy Stolliday and Stuart Lambert last October, has made four significant senior hires to support a growing portfolio of international clients.

Jenna Gifford (pictured) has joined as consulting director from Karmarama, where she was a business director working with Diageo, Unilever and Vauxhall Motors. Sinead Scott-Lennon joins from BookTrust, where she was head of communications and campaigns, and Maxwell Kalu has joined from Milltown Partners, where he was a senior analyst; he was also a BME PR Pros mentor in 2018. And Emma Weisgard has joined as finance director and partner, with experience in leading finance roles at agencies including Red and Cohn & Wolfe.

Blurred has also made a number of more junior and specialist hires, who will be working alongside the founding partners and the agency’s consulting and creative cohorts to deliver on its promise of “world class consulting meets world class creative.”

The agency's client portfolio now includes a global hotel group, a luxury brand house, an internationally renowned educational institution, a major consumer electronics manufacturer, a telco giant and a global charity foundation. Its remit for launch client StockX has expanded with the business now overseeing three European markets, in addition to the UK.

Its briefs include management consultancy, creative campaign development, branding, employee engagement, purposeful business consulting and large-scale change management.

CEO and founder Nik Govier said: “This team has been handpicked to support us during a time of extraordinary growth. They’re exceptionally talented, but equally importantly they share our values and believe in our purpose of bringing depth to an industry categorised by the superficial. Our starting point with talent is to find multi-skilled problem-solvers who understand that good comms strategy is really just good business strategy.”

Gifford added: “Using communications as a tool to solve business problems and create real impact for clients requires a depth of understanding and expertise that Blurred feels uniquely placed to deliver. It’s an exciting time to come on board and I’m looking forward to working with an incredibly talented team to play a part in the Blurred story.”
