NEW YORK — Catalyst co-founder Bret Werner has joined MWW as chief client officer and EVP — a role that spans the firm's practices and offices.

Werner will report to founder/CEO Michael Kempner and lead the agency's senior executive committee.

"He has been instrumental in leading and growing two of the most respected and innovative firms in our industry," said Kempner.
"At MWWPR, Bret will play a central role in helping the firm refine our omni-channel service offerings, client strategy and delivery excellence for the next phase of our aggressive growth."

Werner parted ways with Catalyst somewhat abruptly last fall. Catalyst, a division of WME/IMG’s Global Partnerships Group, includes global marketing, sponsorship sales, brand strategy and activation, public relations and communications, research and insights focused on brands. As part of this group, the firm partners with sister agencies such as droga5, Red Interactive and Grab Analytics.

Prior to Catalyst, Werner was managing partner at Taylor, where as a member of the management team, he helped reposition the firm and its business approach.

"I love to help grow companies and MWWPR has one of the most successful and motivating growth stories in our business," Werner said. He will be based in MWW's New York office.
