HONG KONG--Hong Kong flag carrier Cathay Pacific has named Cecilia Leung as its new GM of corporate comms, amid a reshuffle of its corporate affairs roles.

Leung shifts to the new role after previously working at sister airline Dragonair, where she was GM of inflight services and international affairs.

Leung succeeds CK Yeung, who has been named special advisor to Cathay’s chief operating officer.

The reshuffle follows the departure of Cathay Pacific’s director of corporate affairs Quince Chong earlier this month. Chong has been succeeded by Chitty Cheung, who has been with the company since 1987.

Cheung now oversees the airline’s government relations, corporate communications and environmental affairs.

Leung, meanwhile, takes on responsibility for the group’s global public and media relations, public affairs, communication issues and CSR programmes. She joined Cathay Pacific in 2000 after working as a management consultant at PwC, and has held numerous roles during her 12-year stint with the company.
