PARSIPPANY, NJ — Cheryll Forsatz, most recently a Ketchum senior VP, has been tapped by the global confectionery company Ferrero to lead US public relations.

Forsatz is the Italian company’s first VP of public relations and corporate communications for the US, which Ferrero entered in 1969 with Tic Tac breath mints.

In the newly created role, she is charged with leading PR and corporate communications for Ferrero’s portfolio of products including Ferrero Rocher, Nutella, Tic Tac and Kinder Joy, as well as for the corporate brand.

“Ferrero is known for world-class brands and has great story to tell,” said Forsatz. “I am excited to work with the US and global teams to harness the passion of our fans to further establish Ferrero as a leading and innovative company.”

Forsatz brings both agency and in-house experience to the position. At Ketchum, she was responsible for the agency’s external communications. Before that, she was director of communications for McDonald’s New York metro region, in which she directed public relations, public affairs and crisis management activities. Her experience also includes being a senior VP at MWW PR.
