NEW YORK and LOS ANGELES — Cohn & Wolfe has made two senior hires in North America, including former Waggener Edstrom veteran David Henderson to run the agency’s newly-won Nokia business.

Henderson joins as SVP in Los Angeles, overseeing US communications for Nokia, as well as to grow the firm's tech and mobile sectors. He reports into office lead Kazumi Mechling.

Prior to joining, Henderson was director of corporate communications at T-Mobile, overseeing the company’s joint business initiatives with companies like Apple, Google and Samsung. Before that, he spent more than a decade in Waggener Edstrom’s consumer tech practice, working on clients such as HTC, Microsoft and Siemens.

Last month,  Cohn & Wolfe expanded its relationship with Nokia from supporting its marketing team to handling all of the company’s global PR duties.

Cohn & Wolfe also hired Ogilvy PR’s Josh Levin in New York as SVP and co-lead of its US corporate practice, reporting into a dual structure with North America president Jim Joseph and global corporate affairs practice leader Geoff Beattie.  He will lead the practice alongside Marie DiFrancesco.

At Ogilvy, Levin was SVP and co-lead for the Government of Mexico account, and worked on brands such as Coca-Cola, Ford Motor Company and Emirates Airlines.
