BANGKOK—Cohn & Wolfe's Asian expansion continues with the launch of a new office in Bangkok.

The firm's Thailand entry follows sustained growth in the WPP's firm's Asia-Pacific footprint over the past three years, including new operations in the Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.

The Bangkok office will be led by Doug Buemi, who rejoined Cohn & Wolfe earlier this year to lead the region from the Thai capital.

The new operation seeks to capitalise on Thailand's status as the hub of the new ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), which launches next year in a bid to unite 10 ASEAN countries into a single manufacturing and trading bloc.

“Thailand is a magnet for massive direct foreign investment and the headquarters for many international companies in the region,” said Donna Imperato, Cohn & Wolfe CEO.
