PORTLAND, OR—Dave Giroux has been appointed director of public relations and corporate communications for Daimler Trucks North America, responsible for DTNA’s public relations strategy, internal and external corporate communications, as well as media relations for its family of Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit Diesel, Thomas Built Buses, and other company brands. Giroux joins Daimler Trucks after serving as Meritor’s director of global brand management and marketing communications. Previously, he served as director of marketing communications for Peterbilt Motors Company.

NEW YORK—Bobby Amirshahi has joined Time Warner Cable as its vice president of communications for New York City, responsible for leading the public relations strategy and execution, community relations programs, and local employee communications efforts in the New York City area . He joins from Cox Enterprises, where he was senior director of public affairs, and will report to Susan Leepson, regional vice president of communications for Time Warner Cable's East region.

She will oversee the bank's corporate communications, public relations, advertising and community relations. Before joining BankUnited, Harris was president of Mary Harris, Inc. where she created and delivered business development workshops and seminars to corporate clients. Previously, she was public relations manager of Neiman Marcus, Fort Lauderdale.
