NEW YORK—AMC Networks has appointed James Maiella as senior vice president, corporate communications. He will report to Ellen Kroner, executive VP, communications and marketing and will oversee business and trade media relations for AMC, IFC, WE tv and IFC Films. AMC Networks’ other SVP of corporate communications, Georgia Juvelis, now adds additional corporate and marketing responsibilities, while continuing to oversee business and trade media for Sundance Channel and AMC/Sundance Channel Global. Maiella comes to AMC Networks after serving for more than a decade as vice president of media relations for Cablevision Systems Corp.

SAN JOSE—Move, a leader in online real estate and operator of realtor.com, has named former Yahoo! executive Barbara O'Connor as executive vice president of marketing, leading consumer and business-to-business marketing and communications teams. In addition, Alison Schwartz has been named VP, corporate communications. Schwartz previously held positions with Waggener Edstrom, The Astone Agency, and Edelman.

SAN DIEGO—Shari Winet Rodriguez has been promoted to vice president of public relations for Bridgepoint Education, a provider of innovative solutions that advance learning. Winet Rodriguez joined the San Diego-based education company in 2008 as a director, and was promoted to associate vice president in 2010. Prior to joining Bridgepoint Education, Winet Rodriguez owned and operated Lemon Drop Productions, a San Diego-based communications and event planning firm.

SAN DIEGO—DriveCam, a leader in global driver risk management, has appointed Julie Cunningham as senior vice president of corporate communications. Prior to joining DriveCam, Cunningham led investor relations and corporation communications at Mitek and Novatel Wireless, and was a managing director at The Blue Shirt Group, an investor relations consulting firm. Previously, Ms. Cunningham was senior vice president at Qualcomm, where she was responsible for investor relations, corporate communications and public relations.
