PALO ALTO, CALIFORNIA – Kahoot, the game-based education company, has named Falguni Bhuta (pictured) head of its global communications and partner marketing. Bhuta will design, lead and implement a global communications strategy and partner marketing program for Kahoot, which offers online games and quizzes. Most recently, Bhuta was VP of communications and engagement marketing at Opera Mediaworks/AdColony.

PRINCETON, NEW JERSEY — Brent Colburn, currently VP for communications at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, has been named Princeton University’s VP for communications and public affairs, effective Feb. 1. Colburn’s previous positions have included assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs at the U.S. Department of Defense; chief of staff for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; and national communications director of the 2012 Obama for America campaign. He succeeds Robert Durkee, who is stepping down from his position as the University’s VP for public affairs while remaining in his position as VP and secretary.

SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA — The tech company Nutanix has tapped former Cisco exec Jennifer Massaro to lead its public relations efforts.  As director of global public relations, Massaro joins Nutanix as it refocuses from being a hyperconverged infrastructure business to delivering a software-defined enterprise cloud.  Before leading Cisco’s PR for strategic alliances and innovation, Massaro held communications roles at Cisco, Philips Electronics and Software Publishing Corporation.
