NEW YORK — Showtime Networks has hired Erin Calhoun as senior vice president of corporate communications. In her new role, Calhoun is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of all corporate public relations initiatives on behalf of Showtime, including corporate comms, distributor relations, marketing, digital media, film and documentary acquisitions, international sales, consumer products, streaming and new business development initiatives. She will report to Johanna Fuentes, executive vice president of corporate communications, Showtime. Prior to this, Calhoun served as vice president of corporate communications at NBC Universal Cable Entertainment. There, she managed trade and business strategies and internal communications for USA Network, SYFY and Chiller.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY — Hyundai Motor America has added Hyundai veteran Brandon Ramirez as senior group manager of product communications. In this role, Ramirez is responsible for communicating the attributes of the company's entire product lineup to traditional and digital media. This includes auto show strategy, new vehicle launches and ongoing content creation for Hyundai's vehicles. He reports to Jim Trainor, director of Hyundai's communications efforts in the US. Ramirez transitions to the communications team from the product planning division, where he spent the last 13 years leading product development, market launches and lifecycle management.

NEW YORK – Monica Tavares has joined the Hispanic Federation as vice president of external affairs. Prior to this, she spent three years as chief of staff in the Office of Communications and External Affairs at the new York City Department of Education. In that position, she was responsible for helping manage a diverse office that oversees intergovernmental and community affairs, marketing and digital communications along with translation and interpretation. Tavares has also served as acting commissioner of the Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs and as director and Latino liaison for the Mayor's Community Affairs Unit. 

PORTLAND — Nonprofit health care technology company Ochin has named Jennifer Stoll vice president of government and public affairs. She has over 20 years experience in the health care industry and will lead the company's government affairs, public relations and media relations. Prior to this, she spent eight years developing and executing key government affairs and advocacy strategies as government affairs director at Allergan Inc., a Fortune 200 pharmaceutical company.
