SAN FRANCISCO —Curt Kundred, Edelman’s Western region president, has departed the firm as newly-appointed COO Julianna Richter takes charge of West Coast operations.

Global CEO Richard Edelman confirmed Kundred’s departure but was not immediately available for further comment. Kundred’s last day with the firm was March 12.

Kundred had overseen Edelman’s $80 million West Coast operations since July 2011. Last week, Edelman announced that Julianna Richter, its president of global client relationship management (GCRM), would become chief operating officer for Edelman US, overseeing profit and loss (P&L) for the agency’s West Coast, Southeast and Southwest regions. At the time, representatives at the agency stated Kundred would report to Richter, who would now report to US CEO Mark Hass.

Edelman also announced last week that Lisa Sepulveda was rejoining the firm from Weber Shandwick to take over as GCRM president, reporting directly to Edelman.

Prior to joining Edelman, Kundred was regional president of approximately 25 percent of Fleishman-Hillard’s operations. Kundred declined comment.
