SAN FRANCISCO: Audio technology giant Dolby Laboratories has selected Hill & Knowlton as its global agency of record, following a review that included several other international network agencies.

After previously handling project work for the company, H&K will now support Dolby's corporate communications, along with its product lines - which include Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Mobile and Dolby 3D Cinema.

The seven-figure account is to be led by H&K's San Francisco office, supported by Seattle, Los Angeles and New York. In addition, the agency's global network, in India, Italy, Korea and UK, will also work on the business.

“Throughout the process we were consistently impressed by Hill & Knowlton’s fresh and creative thinking as well as its clear counsel and media relationships that immediately helped us exceed our PR and business priorities,” said Catherine Ogilvie, vice president, corporate communications, Dolby Laboratories.

The decision comes after Dolby Laboratories handed its Greater China PR account to Ogilvy PR earlier this year. H&K's remit will not affect Ogilvy PR's existing role.
