NEW YORK—Edelman has formed a partnership with Poptent, a global video crowdsourcing and strategy company. Edelman will deploy Poptent’s network of more than 50,000 talented videographers in 140 countries to create frequent, relevant and authentic video content for Edelman’s clients worldwide.

The agreement is designed to enable Edelman to efficiently produce high-quality videos for its clients’ programming needs, including social media campaigns, public service announcements (PSAs) to support broader PR and integrated communication efforts and for other online and offline uses.

Poptent will supplement the video capabilities of Edelman’s sister company Matter, a brand engagement and experiential marketing firm.

This agreement follows a successful pilot program involving the Girl Scouts of the USA, an Edelman client, which sought to create a PSA campaign to commemorate its 100th Anniversary in 2012. Edelman and Poptent worked together to produce two PSAs for Girl Scouts to help promote the launch of ToGetHerThere (, a Girl Scouts-powered effort.
