AUSTIN – Edelman has hired Spike Jones as SVP and head of its emerging digital team in the Southwest.
He oversees regional strategy and business development for the Southwest. There are 74 full-time Edelman employees in the region, which is led by Helen Vollmer, president of Edelman Southwest. Jones becomes one of 26 employees that resides in Edelman's Austin office.
His prior experience includes working on digital customer experience initiatives and advocacy programs for clients such as Verizon, HP, Pfizer, Intel and Hershey’s. Most recently, he was the group director of engagement at WCG in Austin. Before that, Jones was a SVP at FleishmanHillard in Austin and spent 10 years at Brains on Fire in Greenville, S.C.
Other recent hires in Edelman’s Southwest region include Chris Hershberger, VP in Dallas who joins VPs Brianne Brewer in Austin and Deven Nongbri in Houston.
