COPENHAGEN—Reinholdt Schultz (pictured) has been named chief executive officer of Danish communications agency Mannov, replacing Steffen Lüders, who becomes executive chairman of the board after 18 years at the helm of the firm. Schultz was most recently chief financial officer and assistant general manager at the firm, though he has also managed projects for Mannov’s biggest clients, and will still be heavily involved in day-to-day dealings with clients.

AMSTERDAM— Waggener Edstrom has added Bex Communicatie of The Netherlands to its global alliance affiliate network. Bex works across a variety of sectors including industry and technology, healthcare, food and consumer lifestyle, education and government. It has offices in Eindhoven and Amsterdam and serves clients including VISA, Ernst & Young, FEI, G-star, Mars Philips and Rabobank.

DUBLIN— Stephen McNamara has stepped down from his role at Ryanair, joining the Irish Rugby Football Union as director of communications. He joined Ryanair four years ago as head of communications and has played a leading role in the growth and development of the airline, which is seeking a new head of communications.

LONDON—Waggener Edstrom has been appointed by Transversal, the provider of web self-service and knowledge management solutions  as its UK communications agency after a competitive agency selection process.  Waggener Edstrom will be responsible for delivering an integrated communications programme, driving thought leadership and raising brand awareness. The remit focuses on Transversal’s UK operation but WE will work with the company as it grows into the DACH, Benelux, Australia and US regions. 

PARIS—Electronic ticketing company Eventbrite has selected public relations and digital communications firm Hopscotch and its Hopscotch Europe In One subsidiary to accelerate its development in France and Germany.

LONDON—Cognito, a full service communications agency for the financial sector, has been selected as the UK PR agency for Drooms, Europe's specialist data room provider. Cognito will implement a strategic PR campaign to enhance Drooms' brand recognition and inform the market about Drooms' USPs and business growth. Andrew Marshall will lead the Cognito team along with Claudia Coleman and Diana Alickaj.
