MUNICH –WE Communications has tapped Daniel Blank, a longtime digital marketing exec, to be its Munich office’s first head of digital and technology and deputy general manager. In his new role, Blank will be responsible for expanding and diversifying WE’s digital offerings. He joins from LEWIS Pulse, where he oversaw digital communications across four locations. Before that, he spent seven years as an Edelman director of digital, developing social media teams in Germany.
BRUSSELS — Hanover Brussels has tapped Aurélie Marchand to be the operation’s EU health account director. Marchand comes from Hill+Knowlton Strategies Paris, where she managed healthcare and FMCG clients as the office’s public affairs lead. She also ran disease awareness campaigns and oversaw product launches. Previous experience includes handling French parliament relations at Sanofi, and working for France’s general secretariat for European affairs and ministry of immigration.
LONDON — Phil Riggins, a former Brunswick partner, has launched a new consulting firm focusing on managing brand and reputation. The Brand and Reputational Collective is being billed as a ‘boutique advisory firm’ focused on aligning brand and reputational strategy. Riggins comes from the communications agency Leidar, which he joined after stepping down from his partner role at Brunswick.
LONDON — Freuds is restructuring the agency under new CEO Arlo Brady, integrating its corporate (previously known as The Brewery) and consumer practices and refreshing its branding to reflect this. Going forward, the agency will be organised not around clients and services, and has announced a new, partnership-focussed governance structure, featuring 14 partners who form the agency's leadership team. In addition, the firm is bringing together a group of best-in-class agencies called The Brewery, featuring nine distinct, founder-led businesses offices in London, New York, Los Angeles and Burford. Finally, Freuds is spinning out three established business units that have historically sat under the Freuds umbrella: Freuds Film, the film promotion agency; Republic, the new brand for its insight business; and Freuds Branded, its design and brand identity function. In addition, the Freuds Accelerator is launching to work on important global causes in need of a critical intervention and with businesses that are at an inflection point on their journey to scale.
