PARIS—Finn Partners has appointed Mina Volovitch as head of its Paris office and senior partner in the agency’s global health practice. Volovitch will be based in Paris and report to Chantal Bowman-Boyles, managing partner leading Finn Partners Europe, and Gil Bashe, managing partner, global health. Volovitch began her career at Merck working in marketing, eventually becoming director of communications at MSD Paris. Following Merck, she joined vaccines specialist Mérieux Institute (now Sanofi Pasteur), where she served as director of communications, and later founded Mynecom, a specialist healthcare communications agency.

LONDON—Reputation Institute, a reputation research and advisory firm, has hired former Liberty Global corporate communications VP Marcus Smith to head up its UK operation as managing director, and has appointed Leo Burnett Consultancy’s James Bickford as commercial director. Smith most recently led external communications at Liberty Global, the US tech company and parent of Virgin Media and earlier spent more than 15 years at Weber Shandwick. Bickford was a managing partner at the Leo Burnett Asia Pacific and previously launched Interbrand in New Zealand.

LONDON—Porter Novelli has appointed former AbbVie senior communications manager Matthew Foster to director in its London health and wellness practice. Prior to AbbVie, where he was responsible for all external, above-brand communications, Foster worked at Waggener Edstrom and Hill+Knowlton Strategies.

LONDON—The Financial Services Compensation Scheme, the statutory compensation scheme for customers of UK authorised financial services firms, has appointed Hanover to deliver an integrated communications programme. Hanover’s work will involve corporate reputation management, stakeholder engagement across parliament and industry, social media strategy and delivery and supporting FSCS’s ongoing consumer awareness campaign.

MUNICH—Anke Linnartz has joined MorphoSys, a leader in the field of therapeutic antibodies, as vice president and head of corporate communications and investor relations, replacing Claudia Gutjahr-Löser, who is leaving the company after 15 years. Linnartz joins MorphoSys from Gerresheimer, a global partner to the pharma and healthcare industries listed in the German mid cap index, where she headed the investor relations und creditor relations department.

LONDON—Clarity PR, which specialises in working with fast-growing technology businesses, has won the brief to handle ongoing PR and communications for advertising technology company Captify. Clarity has been hired to raise Captify’s profile as a sophisticated and insight-led ad tech business. The firm will work alongside Captify’s marketing team to execute a programme in Europe and North America, including media relations, content marketing, and ongoing profile raising and event management.
