SLOUGH, UK — Telefonica UK (O2) has made two hires to its corporate affairs team. Kirsty King, formerly corporate PR director at Diageo, joins in the newly-created role of head of external communications, while Ian Lynch joins from Royal Mail as head of internal communications. They will report to director of corporate affairs Nicola Green.

LONDON — Business process outsourcing and professional services group Capita has recruited Katja Hall to the newly-created position of corporate affairs director, responsible for all internal and external communications, including employee engagement and public affairs. Hall joins from mentoring organisation Chairman Mentors International and was previously group head of external affairs at HSBC. She reports to new Capita CEO Jon Lewis.

LONDON — Grayling has hired Bronwen Andrews (pictured) as head of business development, Europe, with the aim of building the agency’s international client list. She joins from Edelman, where she was group new business director, and also led new business for MSLGroup in Europe for 10 years.

DÜSSELDORF — Susanne Marell has joined corporate and B2B communications agency JP KOM, which has offices in Düsseldorf and Frankfurt, as managing director. She joins from Edelman.ergo where she was CEO for Germany for six years. Marell’s previous positions include VP of corporate brand management at BASF.

STOCKHOLM — H&H Group, which owns 12 communications agencies in Stockholm, Malmö, Linköping, London and Shanghai, has promoted Johan Ramsten to deputy CEO, with responsibility for business development and collaboration within the group. Anna Grönlund Krantz will replace him as CEO of Hallvarsson & Halvarsson. She joins from Skandia, where she was head of communications, marketing and sustainability.

PARIS — Loyalty marketing platform Splio, used by brands including The Kooples, Givenchy, Caudalie, Intersport, Lindt and Air China, has appointed Charles Wells as chief marketing officer. Wells has held several positions in digital marketing as a chief product officer in Europe, the US and the Middle East. His first task is to design a global marketing and communication strategy for the group, which rebranded earlier this year.

LONDON — Victor Benady, former global head of digital at Grayling, has joined Hudson Sandler to lead the agency’s new strategic offer, HS Insights. MD Andrew Hayes said: “Victor’s considerable experience in delivering campaign strategies, underpinned by insights and actionable digital data, will transform the way we work with our clients. HS Insights will solidify and future-proof Hudson Sandler’s already greatly evolved offer following senior hires this year.”

LONDON — The International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO) has launched a #POWERofETHICS campaign to highlight the importance of ethics within the PR industry. The global campaign, running throughout September, aims to raise awareness of ethical best practice principles and encourage PR professionals to become ethics advocates, share knowledge and experience, take training courses, review practices and behaviours, and sign up to the Helsinki Declaration.

LONDON — Independent agency Eulogy has been appointed by LGBTQ+ homelessness charity Albert Kennedy Trust to create new materials to inform young people across the UK about its online mentoring services. Eulogy will create new materials to. The appointment adds to Eulogy's LGBTQ+ portfolio, following its selection as lead agency partner for Pride in London earlier this year.
